History

History of the game

St Hockey tour was founded in Finland in 2004 and is organized every year. In 2004 the tour consisted of 3 qualifying tournaments and final tournament was played in Helsinki city center. In 2004 there were 71 teams and 1200 players taking part in the tour. The first ever Street Hockey Finnish Championship was won by a team called Helsinki Shadows.

In 2005 the number of teams was almost double and the tour consisted of 8 qualifying tournaments in 7 different cities of Finland.

Over the Street Hockey history, the tournaments have been organised in over 10 cities in Finland. In 2017 over 4500 players took part in the tour.

Each year professional athletes as well as well-known Finnish artists and entertainment stars take part in the tournaments. Spectators get to enjoy high-quality teams and top performances.

In addition to these, All Star games are the absolute highlight of the events. All Star line-ups are gathered of well-known ice hockey players and entertainment stars and these alone attract thousands of spectators to enjoy the events.
